Mexico Llano Hermosa Organic

The Red 5 de Diciembre network is the largest organisation of producers in the region Oaxaca and the Llano Hermosa group inside of Red 5 de Diciembre consist of 15 smallholder farms.  They united as a group on Dec 5, 2014 after La Roya devastated the coffee crop in the Oaxaca region.  Banding together, they began working to improve selective harvesting, specialty processing, gaining organic certification and the marketing of these higher value lots.  They grow Typica, Bourbon, Caturra and Mundo Novo at elevations above 5,400′ and the processing method is washed.  This lot of specialty coffee has delicious notes of red apple, chocolate sauce, melon and brown sugar.
