Nicaragua Jinotega Community Coffee

Grown at high elevation, over 5,000′, in the Jinotega region.  This coffee is a mix of varietals Red & Yellow Caturra, Red & Yellow Catuai, Bourbon and Pache.  It has wonderful notes of cranberry, apple & cherry with excellent balance and body.

Gold Mountain Coffee Growers teamed up with several of its members in the Jinotega coffee producing region to create this medal winning lot!  Although this is a volume lot, every lb of coffee is fully traceable by producer, parcel and variety in order to improve standards of living and minimise the environmental impact of coffee farming.

Our producer farmer, GMCG, treats coffee growing like fine wine production, working on traceability, wet processing, drying, transport, picking techniques, financial management and much more with each farmer.  Although this is a “community” coffee, GMCG has its ripeness team on every farm at harvest to guarantee perfect cherries!
