Guatemala El Regalito
Arturo Villatoro and his son, Vielmann, work together to grow this delicious coffee. Finca El Regalito is in Huehuetenango and sits between 1,525 - 1,800 masl straddling both sides of a sheer ridge line. This coffee is a blend of varietals Bourbon and Caturra and is processed washed with pure mountain spring water. The coffee is shade grown among the mature Chalum, Mandarin and Capulin trees.
Vielmann does the majority of the day to day management of the farm. After living 11 years in Los Angeles picking fruit, he moved back to Guatemala and began picking coffee cherries for other producers. The difference in pay hit home and he decided it was time to move home and take over the family farm. Since then, Vielmann has purchased more land expanding the farm, built more drying patios and more worker housing. His goal is to continue to growing excellent coffee and investing in his farm to leave a legacy for his children.
